July 8, 2016 marked the 5th year Anniversary of CARLSON INNOTECH CORPORATION in the Electro-Mechanical and Engineering Services industry, and what better way to celebrate it than to give back to the community.
For our first social and outreach activity, CARLSON INNOTECH CORPORATION partnered with Asuncion A. Perez Memorial Center, Inc. to support “PROJECT KWADERNO”, which aims to support the Aeta children in their education by means of providing their basic school needs.
Despite the bad weather due to the Southwest monsoons and Typhoon Butchoy, our CIC family still pushed through with our Thanksgiving mission. The 1st Team—from the Admin/HR, Accounting and Purchasing Dept.—left Manila at 11:00PM on July 7 to prepare the food to be served the following day. The 2nd Team—from Engineering, IT and Operations Dept.—left at 4:00AM to embark on the 4-hour travel going to Immanuel Bible School at Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac where the Aeta children and community are eagerly waiting to receive their gifts of toys, school bags and school supplies.
CARLSON INNOTECH CORP. Team preparing the food to be served
The 1st Team had already been busy preparing the food, such as Filipino dishes like Adobo, Tinolang Manok, white rice and the children’s favorite, Sweet-Style Spaghetti, while the 2nd Team, upon arriving, immediately helped in packing the cooked food and portioning the soup into bowls for ready distribution to the children and adults, and also in organizing the gifts at their church where the fellowship and gift-giving will be held.
The program commenced with a Thanksgiving Prayer by the children, some of which we noticed were teary-eyed while praying. The prayer was followed by a praise and worship song, and then the welcome message from Pastor James from Immanuel Bible School. In his welcome message, Pastor James said that the Aetas have always been considered as a “burden” by many, and that is why they have been continuously helping the Aeta community by means of education so that one day, these so-called burdens” will become a valuable resource to our society.
Engr. Allan M. Lopez, Founder and COO of CARLSON INNOTECH CORPORATION, was the next to give a message to the children, stating that our way of helping them is also our way of giving thanks for all the blessings that the company had received throughout its 5 years in the business. He also enthusiastically led the children in encouragement to the entire CIC family to continuously work hard and diligently so that we can support this project and other worthy causes for the years to come.
After a couple of party games for the kids, we went on with the gift-giving and distribution of school supplies, composed of a school bag with notebooks, pad paper, crayons, ruler, pencils and eraser, and other items such as toys and other school supplies which were personal donation of the members of the CIC Family. Food and drinks where then distributed by the CIC Family to all of our guests in attendance. After our meals and presentation of the Certificate of Appreciation for our support and contribution to the project, we then prepared to head home to the CIC Head Office, where a sumptuous meal is prepared for a simple get-together with the rest of the CIC Family in celebration and thanksgiving for our 5th year Anniversary.
Indeed, CARLSON INNOTECH CORPORATION has been truly blessed all throughout these years with people who have been and are still contributing to the success of the team and to the company’s mission of providing quality service to our clients. As our passion and commitment in delivering the best service to our business partners and clients to the construction industry grows each and every day, it is also our commitment to continuously give back to the community through social and outreach activities that will be able to touch the lives of those who are in need.
